History

Abertay University, which was previously named the University of Abertay Dundee, is a public university in Scotland, located in the city of Dundee. This university came into being in 1888 as the Dundee Institute of Technology. This educational institution came into being as per the bequest of&nbsp; Sir David Baxter, who was the 1st Baronet of Kilmaron. At the beginning of the following century, this institution was considered an industrial educational hub. Abertay University was granted the power to award degrees as a university in 1994.&nbsp;
