Royal Veterinary College, commonly known as RVC, is a famous public-funded veterinary school situated in London, UK. The vet school is a constituent college of the University of London. This educational institution has its root from more than 200 years, making it the oldest and largest veterinary institution in the United Kingdom. 
The vet school was established in the year 1791 by Granville Penn. The vet school received its Royal Charter in the year 1875, making it the only veterinary college in the UK to have its own Royal Charter. After World War II, the veterinary school became a constituent college of the University of London in the year 1949. Facts: 1. The college is the oldest and the largest veterinary college in the United Kingdom. 2. One of the only nine veterinary educational institutions in the UK. 3. RVC holds a Gold status award in the Teaching Excellence Framework. 4. Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings gave the rank of #301-350 to the college. 5. On-campus facilities: On-campus accommodation facilities are not available. Off-campus facilities: Students can rent any flat, apartment, shared apartment, studio apartment, etc. depending on their budget and interest. The average cost of an apartment ranges between £700-900per month. Students can save money on their monthly budget by looking up for sharing the apartment with any of the fellow students. The residence places in the city are all safe and at a convenient distance from the university Food facilities (Availability of vegetarian/Indian food): The college campus holds cafes and restaurants residing inside, and provides food facility to the students at RVC. The college also homes the main bar of the college called the Haxby.

Internships: Students studying veterinary course programmes at the RVC are also offered internships in hospitals like the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals or small animal hospitals. This gives in-field knowledge and experience to the students, providing them a better learning experience. Sector: As for the pathway courses offered by the college, after its completion, students pursue their higher study in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicines (BVetMed) at the Royal Veterinary College. And thus after the completion of the undergraduate programme, they either opt for post-graduation or tend to work in the veterinary field of profession.

Placements

Commonwealth Master's Scholarships

Approved Airfare from the Scholar's home country to the UK and return at the end of the award (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependants, nor the cost of journeys made before the award is confirmed).

Approved Tuition fees: Full Fees are covered by agreement between the CSC and the UK university, and Scholars are not liable to pay for any part of the Tuition fee.
Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of GBP1,347 per month, or GBP1,652 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at current levels).

Warm clothing allowance, where applicable.

Study travel grant towards the cost of study-related travel within the UK or overseas.

If a Scholar has children and is widowed, divorced, or a single parent, child allowance of child allowance of GBP576.61 per month for the first child, and GBP143 per month for the second and third child under the age of 16, if their children are living with them at the same address in the UK.

If a Scholar shares that they have a disability, a full assessment of their needs and eligibility for additional financial support will be offered by the CSC.
