Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) is a public university in East Anglia, United Kingdom. Its origins are in the Cambridge School of Art, founded by William John Beamont in 1858. It became a university in 1992 and was renamed after John Ruskin in 2005. It is one of the “post-1992 universities”.
Anglia Ruskin has 39,400 students worldwide with campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and London. It shares further campuses with the College of West Anglia in King's Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge and has partnerships with universities around the world including Berlin, Budapest, Trinidad, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. There are four faculties of study at the university: Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Arts, Humanities &amp; Social Sciences, Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine &amp; Social Care and Faculty of Science &amp; Engineering. The university's Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS) in Cambridge and Chelmsford is one of the largest business schools in the East of England. In 2019, the School of Medicine was formally opened at its Chelmsford campus by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. It was awarded Entrepreneurial University of the Year in the 2014 Times Higher Education Awards. It won the Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards 2016.

Our International Excellence Scholarship is awarded to students who can demonstrate exceptional academic and extra-curricular achievement.

As well as looking at academic excellence, we're interested in why you want to study at ARU, your career goals, work experience, and relevant activities you take part in outside your studies.

We'll ask you to write a short supporting statement when you apply for the scholarship.

Boost your career prospects with our prestigious Master of Business Administration (MBA). Study in Cambridge or Chelmsford, within our dynamic Faculty of Business and Law, and choose from a one-year course or two years with the option of a work placement.

Please note: our MBA Scholarship cannot be combined with the international early payment discount, or with any other scholarships.

Our International Merit Scholarship is awarded to international students whose academic achievements set them apart from their peers.

Our scholarship is available to undergraduate, postgraduate and research students and you'll automatically receive our International Merit Scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria which is based on the grades below as well as the overall quality of your application.


International Merit Scholarship

Pay your tuition fees early and take advantage of our special discount.

A discount of GBP1,000 is available to international students starting an undergraduate or postgraduate course and studying full-time. Please see below for more details and the deadline.for paying your fees in full to be eligible.

The discount of GBP400 is also available to current undergraduate students who are returning for their second (Level 5) or third (Level 6) year at ARU.

Please note: this discount cannot be combined with our International Alumni Scholarship or MBA Bursary. It is not available to students applying to ARU College.
