The Birmingham City University (BCU) was established in 1843 and was initially known as the Birmingham College of Art. It gained the status of polytechnic when the 5 colleges merged together (institution in the city) during the year 1971 and got the status of university in 1992.
Out of the 5 colleges, The Birmingham City University College or the BCUC is known for its dedication to support students with their bachelor’s and master’s degree study. Since its inception it has been enrolling students, also the one who didn’t have much of a good educational background.
