Colorado Mesa University or CMU for short, is a public university that awards associate, bachelor&rsquo;s and master&rsquo;s degrees. The University has three campuses with its main campus in Grand Junction, Colorado. The other two campuses are the Bishop Campus in northwestern Grand Junction and a regional campus in Montrose.

Established in 1925, CMU came into being as the Mesa State College. In the year 2011, the college was granted university status with which it also got degree granting powers. It was in August 2011 that the university officially changed its name to Colorado Mesa University.

Application portal:&nbsp;Students are needed to log into CMUconnect to apply. If they don&rsquo;t already have an account, the applicants are required to create one.

Application fee: 30$ (non refundable)

Admission requirements:&nbsp;The students are required to submit the required documents for a successful application for admission as enlisted below:-

	<li>The Online Application has to be completed for the semester in which the applicant wishes to join the institute.</li>
	<li>Official Secondary / High School Transcripts of the students are to be submitted from the last secondary/high school attended by the applicant. For full admission to the institute e-mailed or faxed transcripts will not be accepted. The documents must have the official seal of the previously attended institution or it has to be a certified true copy.</li>
	<li>Students enrolling for the Fall session with U.S. equivalent GPA of 3.0 or more will be eligible for the International Student Merit Scholarship with $4500 per semester and $9000 per year.</li>
	<li>Proof of funds must be provided through which the institute will check the availability of $38,555 USD by the international applicant for staying in the U.S for one whole year.</li>
	<li>An official bank statement must be provided with names of the person/source responsible for the funding of the applicant.</li>
	<li>A statement of Financial support must be submitted by the sponsors who provided the bank statement. The authenticity of the signature of the person signing the form must be verified by a public official/a notary.</li>

Students at CMU have a vibrant social life and it all begins with student clubs and organisations.

The most populous municipality of Mesa County, Grand Junction is a home rule municipality in the state of Colorado, USA. It is a commercial centre and a transportation hub within the area that lies between the Continental Divide and the Green River.&nbsp;

The city lies along the Colorado River&rsquo;s confluence with the Gunnison River. Nicknamed &lsquo;River City&rsquo; the municipality&rsquo;s name comes from its relation to rivers. &ldquo;Grand&rdquo; is derived from the Grand River which was renamed the Upper Colorado River in 1921. The &ldquo;Junction&rdquo; comes from the confluence of the Gunnison and Colorado Rivers. Today, the area&rsquo; s economy is largely dependent on healthcare, education, tourism, agriculture and mining.

Grand Junction Regional Airport is the nearest airport from the campus, just 11 minutes away. Nearby Subways and train stations

There are no subway stations nearby and the only train station nearby is the Grand Junction Station. If you are looking for a means of transportation for your daily commute, we recommend you either take a taxi or opt for the bus. The nearest bus stops are all about 7-8 minutes away. Independent Avenue west of 1st Street, Independent Avenue east of Poplar Drive, 25 &frac12; Road north of Independent Avenue (Sam&#39;s Club) and Base Rock Street and Rimrock Avenue (Walmart - Loop at east Corner) are some the nearest bus stops.
