The City Law School is firmly committed to a generous programme of scholarships awarded on the basis of academic excellence. The Dean's Scholarship - a full-fee scholarship - is offered to the most outstanding candidates across all postgraduate and professional programmes in The City Law School.

For the Master of Laws we will offer one Dean's Scholarship for students starting in September and one for students starting in January each year.

While the primary consideration for the award of a scholarship is academic excellence, The City Law School's Scholarships Committee looks carefully at the full range of qualities possessed by each individual closely considers the broader context in which the academic excellence has been achieved.

We also believe that it is important to value the potential of applicants to make a positive contribution to the School, the legal professions, and the community when we evaluate applications.

The City Law School Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence

The Office of Health Economics (OHE) wants to increase capacity of highly skilled economists specialised in health economics research by funding two part time students per year to do the MSc in Health Economics or a MSc in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare, part time, at the Department of Economics at City , University of London.

OHE will pay the corresponding part time fees and a stipend to the student of GBP1,600 per month for two years.

Selection will be based on merit. To be able to be considered, the applicant needs to have been accepted on to an MSc programme and send a statement of purpose explaining why they want to apply to mjofre-bonet@ohe.org.
All OHE fellows will attend all OHE masterclasses and OHE lunchtime seminars, OHE annual lectures and all other OHE research activities.
Students that are awarded the OHE fellowship will have as a co supervisor of their MSc dissertations one of OHE staff with a City affiliation.

MSc Fellowships in Health Economics - OHE

If you have the academic ability, desire and can demonstrate potential to become a future leader in one of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects, you can apply for the "Global STEM Leadership" Scholarship Programme. We offer:

Up to 10 scholarships, which will cover 75% of tuition fees.
Up to 15 scholarships, which will cover 50% of tuition fees.

The Matrona Michael Xylas (MMX) Scholarship was established by Mr Nick Comninos Xylas in 2021 and is given in honour of academic excellence, demonstration of financial need, and promise of continued growth. The Matrona Michael Xylas (MMX) Scholarship is of the value of GBP12,000 each to be offset against tuition fees.

We believe exceptional academic performance should be recognised and rewarded. If you are an international student starting an undergraduate course at City in September 2023, a 50% scholarship is available for your first year.

This scholarship is designed as a recognition of the growing cost of studying at university. As such, the President's International scholars will be awarded the scholarship as a discount in the fee amount due in the first year of their study. The student must be self-funded in order to qualify.*

The successful scholars will also be expected to be ambassadors for the City community. This will include representing the University at events, both on and off campus, contributing towards societies and supporting broader community engagement initiatives.

For students starting in 2023, there are thirty of these generous scholarships available.

You may be considered to be a self-funded student if you are:

funding your own studies
getting financial help from family or friends.

President's International Scholarship

50% of the course fee for the first year only

The Clelia Haji-Ioannou Scholarship was established in 2019 by Clelia Haji-Ioannou and is given in honour of academic excellence, demonstration of financial need, and promise of continued growth. Ms Clelia Haji-Ioannou provides two scholarships to the value of GBP10,000 each to be offset against tuition fees. Since 2019, we have had four Scholars with a total donation of GBP40,000.

This is a merit-based scholarship for applicants to City's postgraduate Engineering degrees. It is automatically offered to applicants with an undergraduate degree in Engineering from City, University of London.

If you accept a place on any of our engineering master's degrees, you will be awarded a scholarship according to the degree classification you attain in your undergraduate degree:

First Class Honours: you will receive a scholarship equal to 35% of your fees

The City Star Scholarship will be awarded automatically once you have accepted an offer of a place on one of our engineering programmes and your degree results have been confirmed. There is no need to apply separately.

City Star Scholarship - First Class Honours

First Class Honours: you will receive a scholarship equal to 35% of your fees.

This is a merit-based scholarship for applicants to City's postgraduate Engineering degrees. It is automatically offered to applicants with an undergraduate degree in Engineering from City, University of London.

If you accept a place on any of our engineering master's degrees, you will be awarded a scholarship according to the degree classification you attain in your undergraduate degree:

Upper-second Class Honours: you will receive a scholarship equal to 30% of your fees

The City Star Scholarship will be awarded automatically once you have accepted an offer of a place on one of our engineering programmes and your degree results have been confirmed. There is no need to apply separately.

City Star Scholarship - Upper-second Class Honours

Upper-second Class Honours: you will receive a scholarship equal to 30% of your fees.

This scholarship is for students who achieve outstanding grades in the international qualifications accepted by the Business School and who exceed the requirements of their offer.

Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) is offering a scholarship worth 25% of the first year tuition fees to International students paying overseas fees and starting a Business School undergraduate course from Year 1 in September 2023. The scholarship will be awarded as a discount in the fee amount due in the first year of their study only.

The scholarship is for students who achieve exceptional grades in the international qualifications accepted by Bayes Business School and their final grades must surpass the advertised academic entry criteria for the course and their offer requirements.

This is a merit-based scholarship for applicants to City's postgraduate Engineering degrees. It is automatically offered to applicants with an undergraduate degree in Engineering from City, University of London.

During his business career he has held senior positions in life insurance companies and the stockbroker Phillips & Drew. He was, for fifteen years, head of strategy at RBS. The School of Health & Psychological Sciences is offering Dean's Scholarships to UK and EU postgraduate students starting one of our post-registration (clinical) MSc programmes who can demonstrate academic and clinical excellence.

If you are applying for a master's degree in the School of Health & Psychological Sciences and are currently on an undergraduate programme in the school, you may be eligible to apply for a GBP2,500 scholarship.

The School of Health & Psychological Sciences has two Dean's Scholarships of GBP2,500 available for academically outstanding students who are currently studying on an undergraduate Programme in the School and who wish to progress onto a master's programme (September or January intake).

For all successful applicants, the total scholarship amount will be awarded to full-time students in the form of a fee waiver from the second fee instalment. For part-time students, half of the amount will be awarded in the form of a fee waiver in the first year and half in the second year of study (again coming off the second fee instalment).

Scholarships worth GBP2,000 are offered to outstanding postgraduate international students, who are applying for a course in Computer Science or Engineering.

Scholarships are available for outstanding international postgraduate students, starting on one of our Computer Science or Engineering Master's programmes. Applicants are considered automatically at the time of application.

The scholarship will be offered to well-qualified international applicants wishing to take up a place on any of the postgraduate programmes listed below starting in September 2023. The scholarships, each valued at GBP2,000, are intended to assist towards the tuition fees.

Computer Science and Engineering Scholarship (International Applicants)

City's undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. If you're applying to study on one of them, you may also be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is committed to developing, inspiring and encouraging engineers at every stage in their career, with practical, financial help. Each year, the Institution supports the educational and development needs of students, graduates and members with grants totalling around GBP800,000 every year.

Each scholarship is worth a maximum of GBP8,000, comprising of GBP2,000 per year for up to four years (excluding industrial placements). The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to continued performance.

A GBP2,000 scholarship is available to outstanding applicants for the Bar Vocational Studies programme, offered by The City Law School.

If you take up a place to study the Bar Vocational Studies (BVS) programme at City and have been awarded a first class undergraduate degree, you will automatically receive a City Law School Bar Vocational Studies Scholarship. The value of this scholarship is GBP2,000.

The City Law School Bar Vocational Studies Scholarship

A GBP2,000 scholarship is available to outstanding applicants for the Solicitor's Practice Programme (SPP), offered by The City Law School.

In order to be eligible for this award, you will need to have a first class undergraduate degree (in law or another discipline) or international equivalent. You must hold an offer of a place on either route of the Solicitor's Practice Programme (SPP) at The City Law School. The offer can be conditional or unconditional.

You can be of any fee status (Home, EU or International) to be eligible for this scholarship.

The scholarship is worth GBP2,000 and is available for full-time study on the SPP.
