General Information
- In 2015/2016, 2.375 million GBP were awarded in bursaries to students at Kingston University.
- Four external scholarships are offered at the university. They are Fulbright Awards Program, Chevening awards, Marshal Scholarships (for American students only), and Common Wealth Scholarships
- Loyalty bursaries are awarded as 10% discount towards tuition fee to international students who have previously obtained a degree at KUL or have a family connection to the university
- Loyalty bursaries and discounts include:
- Family bursary: This is a 10% tuition discount fee for each year of a graduate or undergraduate study to international who have direct family connections to a current student or alumni of Kingston University. Applicants can apply after they’ve successfully applied
- Study Abroad, Summer School and Exchange student bursary: International students who have participated in an exchange program, study abroad, or International summer school only, and are participating in an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible for 10% tuition fee discount for every year of the program
- Alumni discount: This is a 10% tuition discount for undergraduate alumni who are progressing into a graduate study. This financial aid does not require a separate application.
- Financial support for international students include grants, scholarships, student jobs, and graduate fellowships
- Few examples of scholarships exclusive to international students include:

| Chevening Scholarship | Chevening Scholarship is funded by Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and other organizations in awarding international postgraduate students to develop global leaders. Criteria for successful applicants are high-caliber graduates who show qualities of being future global leaders across various subject areas. | The amount covers full cost of flights, accommodation, and program fees. |
| Postgraduate Progression Scholarship | This award is for current students who are currently enrolled in a graduate program in the 2018/2019 session and are progressing into the 2019/2020 session. This financial aid cannot be received at the same time with the Alumni discount. | It carries a benefit of 10% reduction in tuition fees. |
You can apply for an International Scholarship if you meet all of the following criteria:
1. You are an international student (classified as 'overseas fee status')
2. You have an offer to study a postgraduate degree course (September and January intakes only)
3. You are not currently enrolled on a Kingston University course
