<h3><strong>History</strong></h3>

<p>Lincoln University is a public-funded university located in the city of Lincoln, Canterbury, New Zealand. It was established in the year 1878 as the School of Agriculture of Canterbury University College. In the early academic years, there were about 56&nbsp;students, but with quality teaching and as the name spread, the institution gained more students from all over the world. In the year 1896, the institution made tie-ups with the University of New Zealand and started offering programs under the university&#39;s&nbsp;qualifications. Till 1961, the institution was known as Canterbury Agricultural College.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In 1961, it became a collegiate college of the University of Canterbury and was renamed Lincoln College. By the end of 1990, the college received its university charter as an autonomous university and became Lincoln University. That made it&nbsp;the oldest agriculture-oriented institution in the whole Southern Hemisphere.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Lincoln University offers on-campus accommodation facilities to their students in their 10 residential facilities, which are Centennial Halls, Colombo Hall, Hudson Hall, Lowrie Hall, The Quarters, Southland Hall, Stevens Hall, Farm Road, Farm Road - En Suite, and The Junction. All the residential halls and rooms of the campus are well-facilitated and totally safe and secured.</p>

<h3><strong>Off-campus facilities</strong></h3>

<p>Students can also opt for the off-campus accommodation facility which the university allows and also help in getting one. The accommodation officer at the university helps and support the students in finding suitable accommodation place depending on the budget and interest of the student. The average accommodation cost ranges between 800NZD per month.</p>
