History

The history of Regent&rsquo;s University begins in 1984 when it was established as Regent&rsquo;s College. The following year, the college had acquired the campus located in South Villa Estate which belonged to the University of London&#39;s Bedford College. The university received degree-awarding powers in the year 2012. The university has multiple campuses in London. The university is a registered charity and constitutes one of the five private universities in London. The university also offers PhD research degrees. A part of the Independent Universities Group, Regent&rsquo;s University is a non-profit private university.
