Robert Morris University (RMU) was established in 1921. Andrew Blass founded it, originally as the Pittsburgh School of Accounting. It has nearly 5,000 students enrolled and offers 35 master and doctoral programmes in addition to 60 bachelor's degree options. The 1935 expansion included studies in business and secretarial work.

General Information
International undergraduate students may apply for merit-based scholarships from Robert Morris University to study in the United States.
- The Liberty Scholarship is worth USD 14,000, and a GPA of 3.5 to 4.0 is necessary.
- Independence Scholarship - USD 12,000 with a 3.0-3.49 GPA requirement
- Justice Scholarship - worth USD 8,000 for a GPA between 2.5 and 2.99.
- Founder's Scholarship - USD 6,000 for grades between 2.0 and 2.49
Undergraduate transfer students are also qualified for GPA-based scholarships. The slabs are the same as for first-time applicants for undergraduates.
