The State University of New York College at Old Westbury (SUNY at Old Westbury) is a public college in Old Westbury, New York, with portions in the neighboring town of Jericho, New York. It enrolls just over 5,000 students.
The State University of New York College at Old Westbury was founded in 1965 by the State University of New York Board of Trustees. It began in 1968 at Planting Fields, the former Coe Estate and arboretum in Oyster Bay, New York. In 1971, the college moved to its present Old Westbury site in Nassau County on Long Island – an estate, known as "Broad Hollow", formerly owned by agriculturist, industrialist, sportsman and philanthropist F. Ambrose Clark.
There are over 50 degree programs available at the college.

Students can join a wide range of clubs, including ones focused on academics, cultures, religions, performing arts, special interests, and hobbies.

Greek Life and Sorority

Sorority and fraternity There are many opportunities to make new friends, become involved on campus, and give back to the community while living on campus. Leadership, scholarship, service, and friendship were the pillars on which fraternities and sororities were established.

Leadership Program

The LEAD Program&#39;s goal is to support incoming and reentering student leaders by fostering their leadership abilities through hybrid seminars, online courses, and presentations. The program&#39;s objective is to give students the confidence they need to take charge in both their personal and professional settings.

Sports and Athletics

Teams from SUNY Old Westbury compete in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Skyline Conference includes the Panthers. Baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and volleyball are sports for men, whereas basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball are sports for women.

The community at SUNY College at Old Westbury is diverse and welcoming; many nationalities are valued and appreciated. The school is more intimate because it is smaller than other schools.

Old Westbury is situated on a 604-acre rural campus approximately 22 miles from New York City, giving students the best of both worlds.

	<li>SUNY College-Old Westbury offers a wide range of student services, including as nonremedial tutoring, a women&#39;s centre, placement support, daycare, health services, and health insurance.</li>
	<li>SUNY College-Old Westbury also offers late-night transportation services, lighted walkways and sidewalks, student patrols, controlled access to dormitories, 24-hour emergency phone service, and foot and vehicle patrols on campus (key, security card, etc.).</li>
</ul>

Old Westbury is one of the wealthiest communities in New York, only surpassed by Harrison, and a lovely location to be. Of course, there are many things to do, places to shop and eat, and more in a place as refined as Old Westbury.

Travel and Transportation&nbsp;

By Train -&nbsp;The Long Island Railroad stops in Hicksville, less than 10 minutes from campus.

By Bus -&nbsp;The College&#39;s main entrance is a stop on the NICE (Nassau Inter-County Express) bus route N-20, which runs from Main Street in Flushing, New York, to the Hicksville train station. During the academic year and registration hours, a college shuttle bus waits for NICE buses at the main gate.

In-person and online career assistance continue to be provided by the Office of Career Planning &amp; Development (CPD).&nbsp;

In Old Westbury, the summers are warm, humid, and wet; the winters are very cold, snowy, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from -3&deg;C&nbsp;to 28&deg;C&nbsp;and is rarely below -10&deg;C&nbsp;or above 32&deg;C.
