TAV College was founded in the year 1989 by Concordia University mathematics professor Abraham Boyarsky, to provide the Chassidic Montreal-Jewish community with secular training and education. It was an effort towards uplifting Jewish community, and they were provided with an opportunity to seek jobs. It began as an affiliate of Champlain College. In the year 2010, the College filed for independent status and became a private college, which is part of the CEGEP network of Quebec’s higher Education system. It is a bilingual college, those languages include French and English. Facts: 1.In the year 1992, TAV became the first academic institution in the world offer to offer a seminary- computer program for Jewish Women. 2. TAV was established t allow men of Chassidic Montreal Jewish community to gain secular education. 3. College commissioned two art murals for their main entrance lobby in 2019. 4.TAV’s annual enrollment gradually grew after getting a status of private college. 5. Its motto is “Realize your full potential”.

About

Available scholarships and application procedure for Scholarships At TAV College, a full or partial tuition credit may be awarded on the basis of financial need. The tuition credit is intended to help students who are unable to pay the TAV college tuition. The amount of financial aid will be calculated on the basis of parental/family income, family size, the student’s own income as well as bursaries awarded by the MELS. The tuition credits awarded by TAV College is meant to supplement rather than to replace Government of Quebec Student Loans and Bursaries.

Size of campus : 65000 square feet No. of campuses: 2 (currently) Facilities: Facilities provided here includes four science laboratories, a private gym, two media labs, a private cafeand a mock-daycare laboratories. Campus safety: College is providing students with a facility of filing complaints, in regard of sexual violence which remains completely confidential and a strict action is taken in order to prevent interest of complainant.College has designed sufficient policies for violence, bullying.

Internships: An effective internship policy has been designed by the college. Supervisor is appointed to ensure smooth working of students who are involved in such programms.

Placements

In Montreal summers are long and the winters are snowy, windy, freezing and it is partly cloudy year round. Summers last 3.9 monthsfrom may 21 to september 18, while winters las for 3.3 months from december 3 to march 11. Montreal experiences significant seasonal variation in monthly rainfall.
