University of Essex was established in 1964 by Sir Albert Sloman in the UK. Sir Albert Sloman was also the first Vice- Chancellor of the institution who conveyed his thoughts regarding Essex&#39;s vision and mission in the field of research and academics at BBC&rsquo;s prestigious Reith Lectures, an year before the opening of University. The campus of Essex is designed in a manner to connect social and educational aspects for holistic growth of the students. The iconic buildings of the Essex are Albert Sloman Library and the Hexagon designed by architect Kenneth Capon. In 1965, the university got approval by the Royal charter. On-campus Accommodations

You will get accommodation on all campuses of Essex. A good thing about all these residences is that they are very close to the academic building even by taking a walk. There are seven places of accommodation available; The Copse, South courts, Iconic tower, The meadows, University quays, The Houses and University square.
