University of Essex was established in 1964 by Sir Albert Sloman in the UK. Sir Albert Sloman was also the first Vice- Chancellor of the institution who conveyed his thoughts regarding Essex&#39;s vision and mission in the field of research and academics at BBC&rsquo;s prestigious Reith Lectures, an year before the opening of University. The campus of Essex is designed in a manner to connect social and educational aspects for holistic growth of the students.
