University of Liverpool was established in the year 1881 as University College Liverpool and started admissions in the year 1882.In 1884, it became a part of federal Victoria University. In 1903, following the Royal Charter and act of Parliament, it became an independent University.
In 1994, University became a founding member of the Russell Group. University has won ten Nobel prizes in the fields of science, medicine, economics and peace.

On-campus facilities: There are many on campus facilities available to the students. University provides a standard accommodation facility to its students. They have Crown Place, Philharmonic Court and Vine Court. Study bedrooms are all en-suite with Wi-Fi connection and shared kitchen and lounge areas. There are laundrettes, outdoor social space and communal chill-out spaces along with an excellent restaurant at Vine Court. Melville Grove, houses around 300 students and has been recently refurbished. Rooms are self-catered with shared kitchen and bathrooms. Off-campus facilities: Off-campus accommodation facilities are also available. Derby and Rathbone halls and Roscoe and Gladstone halls are available. Students can visit restaurants for food purposes. Privately owned accommodation is also available. They are Apollo Courts ranked 3rd and Myrtle Court ranked 4. Food facilities (Availability of vegetarian/Indian food): There are food facilities available on campus along with that there are many cafés and restaurants that can be visited. Some of them are Key Lime Coffee, The Egg Vegetarian Café, The Old Hardware Shop, SIREN Liverpool, Café Tabac and many more.

University of Liverpool has been ranked #121 in QS World rankings. Also, it has been ranked at 101-150 in ARWU. It offers great on-campus as well as off-campus accommodation facilities.
