The University of South Alabama (USA) is a public research university in Mobile, Alabama. It was created by the Alabama Legislature in May 1963 and replaced existing extension programs operated in Mobile by the University of Alabama. General Information
The university offers a number of scholarships for international students who are recommended to apply for admissions before the priority deadline of April 1 in order to be eligible for these scholarship programs.
- Global USA Scholars Award is awarded to international degree-seeking students with a minimum ACT score of 28 and a high school GPA of 3.5. The Scholarship is renewable for four years.
- Other scholarships for international students include Honors International Music Scholarship, Hinson International Student Endowed Scholarship, International Student Endowed Scholarship and others.
- Students who receive a scholarship will have the funds credited towards their tuition fee every year. Any additional amount pending can be used to pay academic costs such as meal plans, books and housing.
