Auburn University is a public university in Montgomery. It was established in 1967 by an act of the Alabama Legislature and is governed by Auburn University Board of trustees as a member of the Auburn University system. It has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) as an operationally separate institution from Auburn University since 1978.&nbsp;

The University has an&nbsp;enrolment of over 5,100&nbsp;students addressed as &ldquo;Warhawks&rdquo; representing 40 nationalities. AUM is also a competent member of NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference. Sports teams at AUM are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and compete in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).

Department of Fine Arts scholarships are competitive and are reviewed by full-time faculty within the department.

Portfolios are evaluated according to the applicants potential within the fine arts field. In order to receive consideration, applications must be received by 5 pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. The Department of Fine Arts plans to notify applicants of decisions by April 24, 2023. Further, if you apply for the Art History Tuition Scholarship and do not submit a Portfolio in addition to the writing sample required of the Art History Tuition Scholarship, you will not be considered for any additional funding beyond the $2500 amount.

Art History Tuition Scholarship applicants must have received a grade of B or higher in ARTH 2030 or 2040 (in addition to a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0). If you are awarded a scholarship and you switch to a major or minor outside of the Department of Fine Arts or if you drop below full-time status, you automatically forfeit your scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Art History Tuition Scholarship

AUM Freshman Leadership Scholarship requires a minimum ACT composite score of 20 (1020 SAT) and minimum 3.0 high school GPA. (Limited number available, separate application required)

Award totals $2,000 and is a one-year award. A separate application is required. This scholarship may be combined with other freshman academic scholarships (excluding Deichelmann). Students selected for this award will participate in a unique freshman leadership program and serve three hours per week in the campus community

Qualified students will receive first $1,000 then must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at the completion of their first semester at TRU to be eligible to receive $1,000 for a second semester. This award is for new students only.
