Bishop&rsquo;s College School came into existence in 1836 with its former name&nbsp;Lennoxville Classical School. It was founded&nbsp;by&nbsp;Reverend Lucius Doolittle, who also became the&nbsp;first headmaster&nbsp;of the institution. During the first 4 years, only twenty-three boys were enrolled and the&nbsp;tuition fees of&nbsp;25 shillings for the Upper Forms and 15&nbsp;per quarter in the Lower Forms.&nbsp;BCS became&nbsp;co-ed in 1972-73 when it was merged with the&nbsp;&nbsp;King&rsquo;s Hall, Compton (KHC) which was an&nbsp;all-girls boarding school. Since&nbsp;then it has been investing in the&nbsp;development and improvement of their academics.

On-campus facilities

The university has a total of 10 residence houses for the students out of which&nbsp;five residences are for boys and three for girls separately. The room and private as well as&nbsp;shared by a maximum of two students. The&nbsp;room&nbsp;facilities would differ based on the budget like&nbsp;beds, kitchens with basic appliances, lamps, desks,&nbsp;storage space, common rooms, etc.&nbsp;

If you prefer to live independently then you may look at the off-campus options. They can range from high-end studio apartments to shared residence halls. Our facilities include five residences for boys, three residences for girls, two full basketball courts, tennis courts, squash courts, several outdoor fields for football/soccer/rugby/etc., a 40-foot rock-climbing wall, an indoor ice rink, a students&rsquo; centre, a historic dining hall, a library and two academic buildings with modern labs and classrooms.
