Standing in the Vancouver Island of British Columbia, North Island college was established in 1975. The main aim towards the making of the institution was to serve the education in the coastal areas of the region. It was only in the year 1990 the physical campus was built to expand the area of service. Since its inception till now the college comprises 4 campuses and 3 centres. During the year 2006, the university got the authority to offer its own degree and also become the first institution to get the power.

Financial Aid

In terms of physical size, program options, and student enrollment, the Comox Valley campus is NIC&#39;s largest. The campus houses the college&#39;s administrative offices and hosts a sizable NIC workforce.

Six structures make up the campus, including Raven Hall, Puntledge Hall, Discovery Hall, and Shadbolt Studio.

Lying on the east coast of Vancouver island is the city of Courtenay. It is the largest and the only city in the Comox valley of the region. The city since its inception has been relying on the natural sources of the region for its economy to run smoothly.

Courtenay provides it service primarily to the retiree community of the region and the military. Tourism is also very much prevalent in the region. Annually the city hosts the largest music festival which goes by the name of Island Music Fest. The function goes on for 3 days with the music going on and on.
