Trine University is a private university that is located in the Indiana city of Angola, U.S. It was founded in 1884.

Originally, in 1884, it was named as Tri-State Normal College and then in 1906, it was renamed to Tri-State College and again in 1975, it was changed to Tri-State University.

Finally in 2008, it was changed to Trine University and now it offers degrees in the business, education, arts, sciences, and engineering courses.
