General Information
Undergraduate Scholarships
- When they submit their applications, all freshmen immediately qualify for a scholarship worth USD 3,500. You must have a minimum GPA and certified SAT/ACT results to qualify for this award. Students do not need to submit a new application for this award, but to keep earning it, they must keep a minimum GPA and demonstrate full-time attendance.
- In addition, students who plan to volunteer in the community while living on campus are awarded a Global Community Scholarship of USD 2,000.
- For undergraduate students, department-based and merit-based scholarships are also offered. One scholarship programme may have different qualifying conditions and deadlines than another.
- Scholarships are given to students who have exceptional talent in sports, music, the arts, and theatre.
Graduate Scholarships
- Each department at the University of South Dakota awards fellowships and grants to graduate students.
- Some departments provide special scholarships to female and minority students.
