Place description: Munich is the most populous city of Bavaria and also its capital. It is also Germany’s third most populated city and the 11th most populated city in the European Union. Munich’s metropolitan area has a population of over 6 million people.
The city has seen glory as the capital of sovereign Bavaria in the beginning of the 19th century. An important cultural and commercial centre, Munich saw unrest and major political changes and was also bombed during the second world war. Today, Munich is an important centre for art, education, culture, science and tourism and has the best quality of living in the country and third worldwise as per the 2018 Mercer survey.

There is a well-known sunbathing place in the eastern part of the Westpark that you can visit alone or with friends. Nearby Subways and train stations: Subway stations are incredibly close to the campus, a few just a couple minutes away. Some of the nearby subway stations include: Schwanthalerhöhe, Poccistraße and Implerstraße. Bus stops are also equally close to the campus location so you can choose them for your daily commute as well. Some of the nearest bus stops are: Hansapark, Baumgartnerstraße and Ganghoferbrücke.
