Giovanni Bordiga and Guido Cirilli founded one of the first Architecture Schools in Italy in 1926. The Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia was established in the year 1940. The institution increased its departments and courses after reaching its first milestone of 1000 students.

University provides about 10 scholarships (&euro; 5.000 each, before taxes and any other charges or fees imposed by Italian law) and 30 tuition fee exemptions to high-achieving overseas students pursuing bachelor&#39;s or master&#39;s degrees.
