The University of Worcester originated as the Emergency Teacher Training College for the University of Birmingham in 1946. It came to be known as Worcester Teacher Training College in 1948 and Worcester College of Higher Education in 1976. General Information
The university offers many scholarships and also has an Access to Learning Fund (or Hardship Fund). Some of the offered scholarships include
- £1,000 Academic Achievement Scholarships
Available for undergraduate students in their first and second year or first year of a Foundation degree or HND. This is a merit-based scholarship and all students are eligible and would be assessed by the university automatically.
- £2,000 Choral Scholarships
These scholarships are for male students with bass or baritone voices and is meant to encourage participation in cathedral singing tradition. Any male student pursuing an undergraduate degree is eligible.
- Sports scholarships are also available however since there is a whole range of sports for which scholarships are available, interested applicants are advised to check out the university webpage. Students can seek money advice from the university professionals and also have the option of keeping their talks confidential.
